NILAMBAZAR, June 23 - Forest and Excise Minister Parimal Suklabaidya during his day-long visit to Karimganj district held a meeting with the heads of different departments and reviewed all the ongoing and pending welfare works at the Deputy Commissioners conference hall on Thursday.

After offering a patient hearing to the appraisal reports by the district-level officials of each and every department, Suklabaidya, minister incharge for Karimganj district, ordered expeditious completion of welfare works withing the stipulated timeframe.

I am taking stock of the development works by meeting you today. But next time I will straightaway move to the site of work and inspect the level of implementation. You should increase visits to the work sites and monitor progress, Suklabaidya told the different departmental heads.

Minister Parimal Suklabaidya informed that Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal had given him charge of Karimganj, Hailakandi and some other districts and urged him to periodically review progress of the ongoing works and ensure proper implementation.

While appealing to all the officials to focus on speedy implementation of works, Suklabaidya informed that Karimganj being one of the most backward districts in the country, was bracketed as a high priority district, hence indicators of improvement in all the departments should go up at any cost, he said.

He directed to all heads of different department to organise awareness camps at the earliest regarding programmes and proper implementation of Mukhymantri Somograh Gramunnoyon Yojana, Atal Amrit Yojana, Fasal Bima Yojana, Ayushman Bharat Yojana, Van Mahotsav, etc.
