NALBARI, Dec 8 - Sensation prevails in Nalbari district as a woman with the help of her brother-in-law forcibly fed poison to her two children and finally both attempted to commit suicide by consuming over doses of some drugs at Deharkuchi village this morning. Later, the villagers rescued all the four members of the family and got them admitted to the Swahid Mukunda Kakati Civil Hospital in critical condition.
According to sources, the poverty-ridden family had been facing a lot of hardships in recent times. Doctors attending on them said that the condition of all the four members are yet to be stable.
Police investigation into the case is on. The husband of the woman was reportedly not at home during the incident.
