UDALGURI, Jan 9 - A life-size statue of Dr Bhupen Hazarika is going to be unveiled tomorrow at the premises of Udalguri Sahitya Sabha Bhawan jointly by Dr Paramananda Rajbongshi, president of Asam Sahitya Sabha and BTC chief Hagrama Mohilary.
This was made known to this newspaper by Gautam Jyoti Talukdar and Akhil Kalita, president and secretary respectively of the statue construction committee.
According to the committee, the fibre-made life-size statue worth Rs 12 lakh will be the pride of the entire BTC region. The statue unveiling ceremony will be attended by Manisha Hazarika, distinguished artiste among many other invitees.
