GUWAHATI, June 2 � The Asom Yuba Parishad has congratulated all the students who have passed the HSLC examination wishing them a bright future.
The Shishu Shiksha Samiti, Assam has also congratulated all its schools running as Shankardev Shishu Aru Bidya Niketan for the remarkable HSLC results. A total of 6,406 students from its schools in the Brahmaputra Valley appeared in the exam and three students secured positions among the top ten.
Asam Jatiya Bidyalay, Noonmati has also congratulated its teachers and students for the brilliant performance. The school secured 66 distinctions, 52 star marks and state highest in mathematics, dance and fine arts. A total of 25 students of the school secured the state highest in mathematics.
Date extended for submission of PhD forms
GUWAHATI, June 2 � The date of collection and submission of admission forms for PhD programme in Gauhati University has been extended till June 10, 2015. The decision was adopted in a meeting of the PhD Entrance Test Committee held on May 28, a press release stated.
The intending candidates may contact the head/chairperson of DRC of the concerned department and on the recommendation of the HoD /chairperson, application forms would be issued from the office of the Academic Registrar, GU. The HoD concerned would recommend the candidate strictly on the basis of merit list circulated earlier against vacant seats.
