Students� ticket rates for T20I reduced

GUWAHATI, Sept 23 - There have been some changes in the rate structure of the tickets for the T20 International cricket match, to be played between India and Australia at the Assam Cricket Association (ACA) stadium, Barsapara here on October 10.

Informing this in a press conference today, the ACA secretary and vice president Pradip Buragohain and Devojit Saikia respectively said that the rates of the tickets for students have been reduced to Rs 500 instead of Rs 750 which was fixed earlier.

Accordingly, the tariff for the North Stand top floor has been increased to Rs 2250, earlier the rate was Rs 1750, and the rates for the second floor of the same stand will be Rs 3500, earlier rate was fixed at Rs 2250.

However, rates of the other tickets will remain same as announced earlier.

Buragohain informed that the tickets will be issued online from October 2 onwards while the hard copy of the tickets have to be collected from the make-shift counters to be set up in the RG Baruah Sports Complex here from October 5. One person can buy maximum three tickets using digital payment mood.

Saikia revealed that the tickets for the affiliated districts will be issued on October 1. All the full members will get 250 tickets each while 150 tickets will be issued to the seven playing zones. The ACA is also planning to allot 12 corporate boxes, containing 32 seats each at various stands to interested parties at a cost of Rs 5,25,000 for each.

A total number of 37,500 tickets will be issued for the match through website BookMyShow. The ACA will offer complementary tickets to all the Ranji Trophy players and current junior State players.

Other ACA officials Ramen Dutta, Muktabul Hussain, Ajay Sarma and Moni Saikia were also present in the press conference.
