By Staff Reporter

GUWAHATI, Jan 27 - To check any malpractice during the ensuing HSLC/AHM examinations, the Board of Secondary Education Assam (SEBA) has said students resorting to any such malpractice shall be expelled for three years.

SEBA Chairman RC Jain told The Assam Tribune that notices regarding this would be displayed outside the examination hall at least three days ahead of the commencement of the examination.

Mobile phone or any electronic device is not allowed inside the hall and if any student is found using such devices or adopting any other malpractice, he or she would be expelled for three years. Even invigilators are not allowed to carry mobiles inside exam halls, he added.

In addition, sealed question papers would be opened only in the examination hall by the invigilators in front of the candidates.

This year, 3,48,739 HSLC candidates and 9,707 AHM candidates would appear for the Board examination in 860 centres across the State. The Board, with the help of the academic council of each district will conduct career guidance/psychometric test of the students who are appearing for the HSLC/AHM examinations as well as for any other student who desires to appear in the test to know about his or her capabilities.

Disha, the career guidance/psychometric test is optional which would provide personalised personality report, information on career options and colleges.

Willing candidates must fill up their forms through their schools. The portal for filling up the forms will be open from January 27 to February 6. Schools concerned can log in to the online portal @sebaonline.org (Registration for aptitude test) by using the same password which was used while filling the examination forms. Tests will be held on March 1 in all HSLC/AHM exam centres.
