BISWANATH CHARIALI, June 1 In an instance of delayed justice, a student who had obtained the first division in the HSLC examination last year, has secured the sixth rank after re-evaluation conducted by the Board of Secondary Education (SEBA).
Antarip Kumar Sharma, then a candidate from the Shankerdev Shishu Niketan here, had asked for re-evaluation of his answer scripts in the subjects of Assamese and General Mathematics, as he was thoroughly dissatisfied with the marks he got in those subjects. However, his plea allegedly did not get due attention, which compelled his father to approach the Gauhati High Court for justice.
However, even as the court verdict is yet to be out, SEBA today declared that he has secured the sixth position among the top-10 in the last years HSLC exam.
Antarip, now a student of Cotton College, is the son of Geetanjali Sharma and Manoj Kumar Sharma, Associate Professor, Biswanath College of Agriculture.
