JORABAT, May 30 - On the eve of World No Tobacco Day, Sanjeevani-Life Beyond Cancer, in association with volunteers and members of cancer clubs from Royal Global University, Dispur College, USTM and Pragjyotish College, today organised streetplays across Guwahati city to create awareness on the ill-effects of tobacco consumption.

The programme was supervised by Sumki Begum (programme executive) for Sanjeevani-Life Beyond Cancer and the streetplay was scripted and directed by Abhijit Sarmah.

It was held in four different areas of Guwahati � Fancy Bazar, Chandmari, Central Mall, and on the bank of Dighalipukhuri.

The entire programme was funded by the Numaligarh Refinery Limited (NRL) and the Raw Gym, Ganeshguri.
