Story-telling session held at �Rongali� festival

GUWAHATI, Jan 23 - �Headway � the intel club� organised a story-telling session at the Rongali Festival being held at the Srimanta Sankaradeva Kalakshetra here on Monday.

It is for the first time that story-telling was introduced at the Rongali festival.

Around 15 school students of the 10 to 15 years age group from Headway participated in the event, where they told folk tales of various states of India, including Assam, Meghalaya, Bengal, Kashmir, Rajasthan, Kerala, etc.

There were stories from Panchatantra, Jataka tales, Tenali Rama as well as stories from the book Burhi Air Sadhu by Lakshminath Bezbaroa. Besides, there were acts performed on some of the stories. Each of the stories conveyed moral values.
