Stone-pelting incident on train

SHILLONG, May 25 - The Meghalaya Government has informed that it has taken up Sunday�s stone pelting incident on a train carrying stranded people from the region, including from the State, with the Railways and also the Bihar Government.

An incident of stone pelting and forcible entry on a special train, carrying people from the North East, was reported in Bihar. It was alleged that Bihar Police assisted people to board the special train forcibly which was on its way from Gurugram to Guwahati.

One person was reportedly injured in the stone-pelting incident.

Once the incident was reported, Chief Secretary MS Rao and Director General of Police R Chandranathan took up the matter with their Bihar counterparts and Railway authorities.
