Stolen handset recovered

JORABAT, Oct 1 - In a rare case, a resident of Jorabat has got back his stolen mobile phone with the help of Jorabat police.

According to the lucky person, on September 28 he was busy working at his shop, keeping the mobile phone on the cash counter, from where it went missing. He lodged an FIR with Jorabat Police Outpost and the latter kept track on the stolen handset.

According to Jugananda Boro, in-charge of the outpost, the mobile was found active at Jagiroad this afternoon, following which a police team was rushed there. In no time the handset was found in the possession of Rajesh Chaudhary alias Sunil and Bhaskar Saikia at the Jagiroad Railway Station. Both had visited the shop at Jorabat on the day of the incident. They have been arrested.
