GUWAHATI, July 28 - The 12th Sub-junior, 12th Junior and 19th Senior All Assam Wushu Championship came to an end at Biswanath Chariali on July 26.
In the sub junior category, Free Fighting and Taolu, Dibrugarh district took the top position winning 10 gold, 2 silver and 2 bronze medals. Kamrup (M) was the second team with 9 gold, 9 silver and 6 bronze medals while Baksa was the third team with 8 gold, 1 silver and 2 bronze medals. Kokrajhar claimed the top position in the junior group winning 9 gold, 2 silver and 2 bronze medals while Kamrup (M) clinched the second position with 4 gold, 2 silver and 2 bronze medals. Dibrugarh was the third team in this category which won 3 gold, 1 silver and 1 bronze medals.
In the senior section, Assam Police won the first position with 7 gold, 2 silver and 1 bronze medals. Kamrup (M) stood second with 5 gold, 4 silver and 4 bronze medals while Kokrajhar was the third team claiming 4 gold, 4 silver and 1 bronze medals, stated a release issued by the secretary Wushu Association of Assam, Bikram Boro. Players of Bidangmma Academy, Guwahati own 12 medals in the meet.
