State writer invited to South Asia poetry fest

GUWAHATI, Oct 25 - Poet and writer Pulin Deka has been invited to the South Asia Poetry Festival, organised jointly by the Punjab government and Guru Nanak University on the occasion of the 550th birth anniversary of Guru Nanak Dev.

Deka, who is Deputy Director of the Information and Public Relations Department, is the lone representative from the North East invited for the festival, which is going to be held on October 29-30 at Amritsar.

Khelor Seshot, Jadukori Sheel, Samakalor Aranya, Usahor Bimal Surabhi and Alorito Swapno Cha Pohorot are some of the books he has to his credit. He also contributes to various magazines and newspapers on a regular basis.
