GUWAHATI, Sept 13 - Assam Taekwondo teams for the 37th Senior National Taekwondo Kyurogi Championship and 10th Senior National Poomsae Championship to be held at Jabalpur (MP) from September 18 to 22, left today.
The men and women teams were selected after a training camp at RTC SSB Salonibari, Tezpur from August 20 to September 12 under the watchful eyes of NIS coaches Dwipen Barman and Haren Bhumij.
This championship will be counted as qualifying mark for the upcoming National Games, stated a release.
Selected players are: Jatin Yein (U-54kg), Sansuma Narzary (U-58kg), Mrinal Maio (U-63kg), Ayushman Dutta (U-68kg), Ajay (U-74kg), Singh Suraj Sanjay (U-80kg), Ajay Pal Singh (U-87kg), Sidhartha Singh ( 87+kg), Dipika Hazarika (U-46kg), Oinam Khumanleima Chanu (U-49kg), Tasin Begum (U-53kg), Sabita Ramchiary (U-57kg), Rekha Ranee Gogoi (U-62kg), Joyshri Rani Konwar (U-67kg), M Joimala Devi (U-73kg), Rodali Baruah(73+kg), Rajib Basumatary (Poomsae U-30kg), Harsha Singh (Poomsae U-30kg), Unmona Das (poomsae), Madhu Kumari (poomsae), Binud Das (poomsae), Pritom Kishore Borah (poomsae), S Krishan Singh (poomsae), D Dwipen Barman, Haren Bhumij (Coach), Arup Das, Bihuram Boro, Rituporna Burhagohain (Officials).
