GUWAHATI, June 10 � The Election Commission of India has announced the schedule for Summary Revision of Electoral Rolls, 2010 with January 1, 2010 as qualifying date for the State of Assam.
As per the schedule, draft publication of the electoral rolls will be done on July 20, 2010, period for filing of claims and objections will be from July 20 to August 10, 2010 and disposal of claims and objections will be completed by August 25, 2010. The printing of supplements will be done by September 9, 2010 and the final publication of Revised Electoral Rolls will be done on September 15, 2010. This was stated in an official press release.
