GUWAHATI, March 10 � The per capita income of Assam is Rs 46,354 against the all-India average of Rs 74,920 at the current prices, said Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi in his Budget speech today.
Though the per capita income of the State has increased notably, the gap with some other developed States is very huge, he said. This gap will have to be bridged to ensure equitable development in the country with all sharing the fruits of development fairly, he said.
The credit-deposit ratio of banks in Assam has increased from 32.53 per cent on March 31, 2004 to 45.43 per cent on March 31, 2014.
