GUWAHATI, Dec 27 - Assam Gramin Vikash Bank in association with NABARD, Guwahati is going to organise a State-level SHG Fair for exhibition and sale of SHG products at the Lakhidhar Bora Kshetra near the District Library here from December 28 to 30, a press release stated.
The fair is being organised with a view to help the SHGs to exhibit and sell their products in a common platform, boost up morale of the SHGs as well as to gear up their enthusiasm for undertaking income-generating activities, besides motivating the SHGs for proper utilisation of bank loan and its regular recovery.
The fair will be formally inaugurated on December 28 at 10 am by VB Pyarelal, Addl Chief Secretary, who will attend as the chief guest of the function. A large number of Self-Help Groups from different parts of the State will join the fair and will display their products on handlooms and handicrafts, jute, food and beverages, etc. both for sale and exhibition.
