State level industrial expo, trade fair ends at Mangaldai

MANGALDAI, Nov 11 - Member of Parliament, Mangaldai, Dilip Saikia has observed more government patronization with well-organised publicity for wider extension of commercial marketing of products of local small and micro industries of the State. He was speaking as the chief guest in the closing ceremony of the five-day State level industrial exhibition and trade fair of the products of government recognised small and micro industries here in the historical Gandhi Maidan.

�This is a very good initiative for promoting the market of the local industrial, handicraft units and we need to organise more such trade fairs in different areas for commercial extension of their products,� said, parliamentarian Saikia. He also had a close look on the products with artistic flavour displayed in more than 80 stalls of the expo organised by voluntary organisation Crystal Vision under the aegis of the District Industries and Commerce Centre (DICC), Darrang and interacted with the young entrepreneurs.

Earlier during the closing ceremony, Saikia in presence of Mangaldai Legislator Gurujyoti Das, General Manager, DICC, Darrang Hemanta Talukdar ceremonially distributed certificates to the participants. Prior to this, Saikia was offered felicitation by the organisers Crystal Vision and its sister orphanage centre �Aai�. Most of the handicraft products with artistic flavour that were showcased in the expo could draw the attention of a large number of visitors and buyers during the five-day-long expo from November 5 to 9 last.
