GUWAHATI, Sept 6 - The State government is in constant touch with the Centre with regard to formulation of a new industrial policy.

In a written reply to the State Assembly today, Minister for Industries & Commerce CM Patowary said the State government wants the new industrial policy to be on the lines of the old one of 2007.

He said that a detailed discussion was held with a team from NITI Aayog earlier this year in Guwahati.

Patowary, while admitting that so far not much positive feedback has come with regard to formulation of a new industrial policy, also added that effort is on to push the States case and hoped for a favourable result soon.
