NAGAON, Jan 3 � The Nagaon women team bagged 6 gold medal in wrestling on the inaugural day of the State Games here today. Earlier in the day Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi inaugurated the meet at the Nurul Amin Stadium here in a colourful and well attended opening ceremony.
Noted sportspersons Dipankar Bhattacharyya, Fariha Zaman, Taibun Nisha, Gyandip Kalita, Renu Bala Chanu, Promila Bharali, Surujuddin Ahmed were felicitated on the occasion. National vollyeball player of Nagaon took the oath on behalf of all the participants.
