GUWAHATI, March 13 - National president of All India Professionals� Congress (AIPC) Shashi Tharoor has approved the new executive committee of AIPC�s Assam unit.
Gauravv Somani, spokesperson of Assam Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC), has been appointed State president of AIPC, with Rijumoni Talukdar as vice president and Tinat Masood as secretary.
After being appointed AIPC�s State head, Somani said that the political system requires expertise of professionals working in various fields.
�The political system cannot be carried forward in the traditional way. We need to gain the confidence of the people. AIPC will engage with professionals and give them a strong platform for positive political changes,� he said.
