GUWAHATI, Sept 18 � The sports cell of the State BJP honoured Nafisa Sadique, who won bronze medal in international championship and Sahil Dey, the U-7 national champion in its executive committee meeting held on September 16 here.
The meeting was held under the leadership of Bishov Lal Pathak, State convenor and was presided overe by Siddhartha Bhattacharya, State BJP president where Sunil Gupta, national co-convenor was the chief guest.
The Guwahati district convenor Vinita Singhi welcomed the members and the guests. He spoke on the importance of sportsmanship among the members. Bishov Pathak spoke about the activities of the sports cell and Sunil Gupta assured of full support to the cell from the centre.
The members have decided to submit a memorandum to Union Sports Minister Sarbananda Sonowal regarding the upliftment of sports scenario of the State. Minakshi Deka offered vote of thanks.
