State BJP executive meet held at Rangiya

RANGIYA, Oct 5 - The BJP State executive meet held at Rangiya has decided to observe the birthday of one of the architects of modern Assam RG Baruah on October 17 every year with the objective to promote sports in the State.

The meet also lauded the State Government for taking a strong stand on eviction at KNP and to eliminate corruption at all levels.

The executive meet attended by many senior BJP leaders including Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal agreed to fulfill the promises made to the electorate including freeing all encroached land, expediting the NRC update, working towards uplift of the poor, etc.

Sarbananda Sonowal addressing the meet said that the BJP Government in the State would try its best to ensure overall uplift of the weaker section of the society with implementation of the Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Grameen Kaushalya Yojana (DDU-GKY).

The BJP State executive meet held here at Rangiya Divisional Railway Officer�s auditorium was attended by Minister of Finance, Health & FW, Education etc Dr Himanta Biswa Sama, Union Minister of State for Railways Rajen Gohain, all the State executive members, Dr Ram Madhab, senior BJP leader, Dr Mahendra Singh, i/c, BJP, NER chapter, delegates, MLAs etc.

The CM further urged all the members present to work jointly for ushering in a stable, free and fair governance in Assam focusing on uplift of the poorer and needy section. DDU-GKY scheme would be implemented with utmost care and priority to bring the dreams of Pandit Din Dayal Upadhaya, a historian, political scientist and the forerunner of the BJP. �Our government would work for the goodwill of the State people and we assure to keep the promises we made to the people� said Sonowal urging for peace, tranquility in the State with concerted effort from all.
