State BJP chief visits Tinsukia with mass awareness on mind

TINSUKIA, March 23 - For augmenting the strength of the party in the rank and file in the district, Ranjit Das, president of the State unit of Bharatiaya Janata Party (BJP) paid a visit to Tinsukia district on Wednesday with two days programme.

During his visit he met the district-level, mandal-level and booth-level office-bearers of the party in the organising meetings held at Margherita, Chapakhowa (Sadiya) and Tinsukia. Speaking to the mediapersons at the circuit house here on Wednesday, the State president of the ruling party said that he was putting stress on mobilising the party activists right from the Members of Legislative Assembly (MLA) to the booth-level office-bearers for creating awareness about the welfare schemes of both the Central as well as that of the State governments among the common people.

Citing the increase in the numbers of the beneficiaries of Atal Amrit Abhiyan scheme after his initiative for wide awareness as well as for assisting the needy persons in taking advantages of the scheme, he said that activation of the party workers has outdone the achievement received through television or print media spending crores of rupees.

He added that he had instructed all the party MLAs to submit their yearly achievements of development in their respective constituencies to the people of the constituencies as well as to him. He also informed that besides organising the party�s strength in the district, he has also taken the stock of the developmental works that were going on in the district and discussed with the district administration about the probabilities of development in various sectors like administration, health, education, agriculture, power etc.

In the press meet, the BJP State president assured that Tinsukia district would be developed in all aspects during the reign of his party.
