SILCHAR, Sept 4 - Debanjan Mukherjee, Headmaster of Netaji Vidya Bhawan here will be presented the State Award by the Government of Assam.

He will receive the award on September 5 in Guwahati in the presence of Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal.

Expressing happiness over the recognition before leaving for Guwahati on Monday, Mukherjee told The Assam Tribune �the award indicates the transparent approach the Government is maintaining to revive the education system in the State. I wish to do more to improve the academic atmosphere of the school.�

Further, citing the efforts like distribution of free uniforms and textbooks for the students, Mukherjee said that if the facilities churned out by the Government are properly implemented across the schools, the status of the Government schools and provincialised institutions shall undergo a massive change, thereby attracting more students to avail of the amenities.
