GUWAHATI, Aug 28: Altogether 20 State athletes have been selected to represent the East Zone team in the 23rd National Inter Zonal Junior Athletic Championship to be held at Bhopal from September 2 to 4. The State athletic body has organised a coaching camp for the atheletes which came to an end at Sarusajai today. The team will leave for Bhopal tomorrow.
The atheletes are: Girls (U-16) Nibedita Barman (100 m), Laimun Narzari (long jump). (U-16) Rubi Gogoi (shot put), Binu Gogoi (400 m), Priya Debnath (long jump). (U-18) Moni Kanchan Nath (high jump), Tunlai Narzari (shot put). (U-20) Daimushri Daimari (jevelin), Palki Sarma (long jump). Boys (U-14) Mridul Sarma (400 m), Rubul Das (high jump). (U-16) Sinay Basumatary (long jump), Biku Bordoloi (1000 m/m relay), Biki Baruah (m/relay), Jagdish Sahu (m/relay), Ravi Nitu (m/relay), Sanjib Boro (jevelin).
