GUWAHATI, March 1 � The Budget session of the Assam Assembly will begin tomorrow. The month-long session will conclude on March 31.
The Budget session is likely to be a stormy one with the Opposition all set to corner the government on a number of issues, such as rhino killing, worsening law and order situation and price rise. Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi will place the Budget on March 10.
Speaking to reporters here on the eve of the Budget session today, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Rakibul Hussain called upon the Opposition parties to cooperate with the treasury benches for smooth functioning of the House.
�We seek cooperation of the Opposition and we are for constructive criticism in case of any shortcoming on the part of the govenrment,� he said.
