State architect body expo from tomorrow

GUWAHATI, Jan 20 - The Association of Architects, Assam is organising AAA Expo-2016 in the Assam Engineering Institute playground, Chandmari here from January 22 to 24.

The Guwahati Metropolitan Development Authority (GMDA) and Indian Green Building Council are supporting the three-day event that will showcase the latest building materials and technological advancements, services and techniques in the related fields, providing interested parties opportunities to interact with all the stakeholders in the building and construction industry, especially decision makers, said the association in a press release here.

The event is an initiative aimed at enabling the products, services and technology manufacturers and suppliers of building materials and construction products to showcase their latest innovations under one roof. This will benefit the building and construction industry professionals in the region.

The AAA Conclave will also be held at the same venue, where various topics and issues like smart city and earthquake will be deliberated upon by experts. The AAA Conclave series is a forum for meeting of minds, exchange of ideas attended by architects, builders, engineers, contractors, fabricators, interior designers and students of architecture and engineering.

As builders and contractors are on the constant lookout for materials, products, processes and technology to deliver projects of lasting value, the AAA expo is a not-to-be-missed tradeshow to participate, the association asserted.

The event will be inaugurated by Uday Gadkari, president, Council of Architecture, India. All leading building material companies, like Dalmiya Cement, Tata Blue Scope Steel Ltd, Anchor Electricals, Halco Aluminium Extrusions, Saint Gobain India Pvt Ltd, Hilti India Pvt Ltd, Kone Elevators, Neo Plast Pvt Ltd, Supreme Industries, Ajay Industrial Corporation Ltd, Omega Elevators, Star Cement, Hindware, HR Johnson, among others are participating in the expo, said the association.
