GUWAHATI, June 11 - The Assam Swimming Association organised State Aquatic Competition got off at the BP Chaliha Swimming Pool, in the RG Baruah Sports Complex here today.
About 280 swimmers from districts like Jorhat, Kamrup, Titabor, Tezpur, Sivasagar, Tinsukia, Golaghat, NF Railway, Tinsukia, Nagaon, Morigaon, Bongaigaon, Charaideo, Nalbari and Delhi Academy are taking part in the two-day championship.
MLA Numal Momin formally inaugurated the championship while Ranjit Borgohain and Bhaskar Das hoisted the flags of Assam Swimming Association and the All Kamrup District Swimming Association, the host of the meet, respectively.
