Startup develops touch-free sanitizer dispensing machine

By CITY CORRESPONDENT

GUWAHATI, Oct 8 - Sensing the need for touch-free sanitization during the COVID-19 pandemic, Assam-based startup Ignition-Art and Craft has developed a sanitizer dispensing machine to provide a complete solution for sanitization. The all-in-one compact solution, named as Swacham, is designed by Amarjyoti Borah with the team Ignition. The machine can be useful in various organisations such as healthcare establishments, restaurants, educational institutions, shopping malls, religious places and others, which will provide a solution to maintain personal hygiene.

The machine has three sections soap dispenser, water dispenser and alcohol-based sanitizer dispenser. The machine has been designed in such a way that without soap and water, it can be used for alcohol-based hand sanitization. There is a need for a touch-free all-in-one compact solution when the deadly COVID-19 has made our lives miserable. This automatic device can dispense touch-free soap, water and hand sanitizer and can bring down the risk of infection, Borah said. The risk of virus contamination from one person to another is nil as this machine is touch-free, he added.

The machine has a capacity of 500 ml sanitizer, 300 ml liquid soap and 40 litres of water. It has also technical features like soap, water and sanitizer indicators, dryer or heater, refilling section and LED lights. A dustbin is also attached with it.
