IMPHAL, Oct 12 - The Manipur Cabinet has okayed the Standup Manipur scheme under the existing Startup Manipur scheme to facilitate subsidies and soft loans for SCs, STs, OBCs, women and minorities to set up business ventures.
Chief Minister N Biren Singh chaired the Cabinet meeting in this regard today. The Standup Manipur scheme will empower entrepreneurs belonging to SCs, STs and OBCs, apart from women and minorities, official sources said here.
The Manipur Startup scheme was launched in March last year to tap the potential, talent and entrepreneurship skills of the people of the State. The scheme is being implemented with an annual financial aid of Rs 30 crore.
