Stage set for India-Laos match

GUWAHATI, June 4 - The stage is all set for the second leg match of the AFC Asian Cup Qualifier between India and Laos which will be played at the Indira Gandhi Athletic Stadium, Sarusajai here on June 7. India is 1-0 ahead in the play off defeating the opponent at their home ground on June 2.

A draw will be enough for the Indian team to sail into the next round of the Qualifier for the 2019 Asian Cup main draw.

Informing about the arrangements, Ankur Dutta, secretary of the Assam Football Association (AFA), the local organiser of the match, said in a press conference today, that the Indian team will arrive here this evening while the 18-member Laos national team is scheduled to reach here tomorrow. Both the teams will have their work out session at the main stadium on June 6.

The local organisers also fixed the ticket price for the match. Ticket rate for the VIP gallery has been fixed at Rs 500, while for general spectators the rates will be Rs 100 and Rs 50 respectively. The tickets are available at the Sarusajai stadium and at the AFA office.

Dutta further revealed that the Assam Chief Minister and his cabinet colleagues have been invited as guests for the match. Southam Sakonhninhom, the ambassador of Laos to India will be present on the occasion. The sponsor of the Laos national team Habib Md Choudhury, who is an Indian, also will be here for the match. Sanjay Kumar, the competition manager of the All India Football Federation was present during the press conference.

The match will kick start at 7 pm.
