Sports organizers� donation

GUWAHATI, April 11 - India Club, Guwahati has donated an amount of Rs 2 lakh to the Chief Minister�s Relief Fund yesterday as their contribution to fight against the coronavirus pandemic. The Guwahati Lawn Tennis Association also handed over a cheque of Rs 25,000 to the Chief Minister for the same purpose.

A group of sportspersons, led by former Assam Ranji captain Rajesh Bora and social worker Gautom Chaliha in association with the staff of the Gitanagar Police Station here distributed food materials to the needy persons of the locality today.

Meanwhile, the Karbi Anglong Sports Association (KASA) has handed over a cheque of Rs 50,000 to the CEM of the Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council Tuliram Ronghang�for his relief fund today in order to extend KASA�s helping hand in fighting against the COVID-19.

The KASA team was led by secretary Pankaj Teron, joint secretary Bishnu Ram Nunisa, treasurer Kensing Engti (jr) among others.
