GUWAHATI, May 31 - The Sports Cell of BJP Assam Pradesh, led by its State convener Bishov Lal Pathak met State Sports Minister Naba Kumar Doley at his residence here today.
The delegation, comprising of former international swimmer Elvis Ali Hazarika, members Pranjit Dutta, Minakshi Kalita Deka, Bikram Saikia, Nagen Dutta apprised the Minister about the sporting scenario in Assam at present which needs a major change to make Assam a Super power in Indian sports. The delegation also assured full cooperation to the Minister.
Weightlifting body calls on Sports Minister: The members of the Assam Weightlifting Association and Assam Body Builders and Fitness Association felicitated the Sports Minister today at his residence here. They sought for help to develop Iron Games of Assam.
