GUWAHATI, Oct 22 - The untimely demise of Basanta Konwar, the vice president of Assam Body Builder�s and Fitness Association and well known social worker was condoled widely who passed away on October 20 at Sonari.
Hailing from Sonari of Charaideo district, Konwar was suffering from protracted disease and was undergoing treatment.
He was also an active sports organiser at Sonari and was assistant secretary of the Charaideo District Sports Association. He was 49. Charaideo DSA president, Minister Topon Gogoi and secretary Imdad Hussain, Assam Body Builder�s and Fitness Association among others condoled the death of Konwar and prayed for the eternal peace of the departed soul. He leaves behind his wife and two children.
