GUWAHATI, Nov 6 - Noted sports organiser and former officer of Directorate of Sports and Youth Welfare Lila Gogoi passed away at a local nursing home this evening.
A senior vice-president of the Assam Olympic Association and retired deputy state liaison officer of sports directorate, Gogoi was associated with various sports organisations of the State. He was 81.
He was serving in the sports directorate since its inception in 1976. He leaves behind one son and two daughters.
