DERGAON, Feb 9 � Noted educationist, sports organiser, a referee of Assam Football Association and the recently retired principal of Dergaon Higher Secondary School Guna Kanta Sarmah Baruah died last night at his Dergaon Lathagaon residence due to cardiac arrest. He was 60.
A keen sportsman Sarma Baruah had been a wellknown sports organiser in the entire Golaghat district. He retired as principal of the Dergaon HS School on December 31 last. He was instrumental in organising several State level tournaments in the district.
