Spl screening of docu on The Assam Tribune on May 2

GUWAHATI, April 18 - A special screening of The Assam Tribune � Nation Talks, an exclusive documentary portraying the glorious 80-year journey of The Assam Tribune, the premier and oldest English daily of the North East, will be held at the Pragjyoti complex, Machkhowa here on May 2.

The special screening will mark the silver jubilee celebration of the documentary�s producer CEC, a premier IT and vocational educational institution.

Dipankar Dutta, founder president of CEC Educational Society, and Arunima Dutta, entrepreneur and a yoga specialist of Guwahati, had earlier initiated the idea of making a documentary on the newspaper.

Dipankar Dutta had taken the responsibility of producing the documentary and the shooting was started from the auspicious day of Biswakarma Puja on September 17, 2018.

Present Editor of The Assam Tribune Prafulla Govinda Baruah has already provided some unique documents and photographs from the archives of the venerated newspaper for the project.

Eminent educationist and artiste Dr Amarjyoti Choudhury is the storyteller of this documentary, which will showcase various exclusive interviews, visuals, memoirs of The Assam Tribune revealing the challenges, pitfalls and triumphs faced in this glorious journey of 80 years.

The shooting of the documentary has already concluded under the supervision of young and energetic director Jhulan Krishna Mahanta.
