AALO, March 2 - Altogether, 70 volunteers along with programme officer of NSS unit of SFS College here organised a special camp at Nyorak village from February 28 to March 1, a government press note stated.
The volunteers organised cleanliness drive, plantation of saplings, awareness on health and hygiene and also donated a water filter and ceiling fan for the school to Jumli Nyorak, Headmaster of Govt. Primary School, Nyorak.
Bahi Koyu, CDPO, Department of Women and Child Development, Aalo spoke on Beti Bachao Beti Padhao through power point presentation on education of the girl child.
He encouraged the volunteers to devote in social work as it helps in personality building. Ginya Mayi, Gaonburha appreciated the volunteers for their toil and the school authority for their cooperation.
