GUWAHATI, Nov 26 � Two exiting and tough semifinal matches in the girls singles event entertained the crowd at the All Assam Tennis Association Complex here today. Both the matches played for over two and a half hours saw Augustine Bento of Spain get the better off Shweta Rana 2-6, 6-1, 7-5 while Rutuja Bhosale won over Sai Chamarthi 7-5, 0-6, 7-5.
In the boys semifinals, Shaikh Abdullah upset second seed Vilasie Khate 6-1, 6-2. The girls singles final will be played tomorrow at 9.30 am followed by the boys singles final.
