Special drive by Forest Dept

BOKO, Jan 10 - The Department of Forests, south Kamrup has started a special drive to check elephants entering villages and damaging property, life and paddy fields. Bhabesh Das, the DFO, has taken the lead in this special drive and as per him, �if we fail to protect the forests, we cannot solve this problem, which is day by day getting worst.�

As a part of the drive, the DFO along with the public of Balapara village area along with a rubber garden in the forest area. He seized six handcarts of �Saal� trees near Boko. He also said in the coming days, he will supervise personally the full operations to protect the forest of the area.
