DERGAON, April 27 - State Legislative Assembly Speaker Hitendra Nath Goswami escaped unhurt by the skin of his teeth in a road mishap at Dadhara on National Highway-37 under Dergaon Police Station at around 8.45 am today.
According to the OC of Dergaon Police Station Robin Kalita, the Speaker was on the way to Guwahati from Jorhat along with his wife Malabika Goswami. But a Bolero DI van coming from the opposite direction dashed against Goswami�s vehiat Dadhara. Though Goswami escaped unhurt, but his wife sustained injuries and was shifted to Dergaon CHC. After primary treatment, the couple resumed their journey to Guwahati in another vehicle. Police seized the DI van.
