GUWAHATI, Oct 2 - Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal released the souvenir of Prerana IAS Officers� Wives� Association Assam titled Aspirations 2019 at NEDFi House here on Tuesday, said a press release issued today.
The Chief Minister appealed to all to further the cause of women empowerment and commended the works of Prerana in the social milieu highlighting their efforts in reaching out to the destitute and underprivileged. He asked Prerana to work for gender-related issues, girl child education and child welfare.
In his speech, Additional Chief Secretary Rajiv Kumar Bora also commended the works of Prerana and thanked it for taking forward multiple engaging issues on the social and cultural fronts. Prerana has been active in Assam, inspiring, consoling and helping the needy since 1989 and these annual activities find reflection in the annual souvenir ASPIRATIONS 2019.
