GUWAHATI, May 21 � South Point School will lock horns with Delhi Public School (DPS) in the title clash of the Guwahati Cricket Coaching Centre organised inter school cricket championship for the Nabin Chandra Tamuly Trophy. The final is slated for tomorrow.
In two league matches of the semifinal stage played at the Nehru Stadium here today, South Point defeated Gurukul Grammar Senior Secondary School by 16 runs, while DPS trounched Blue Bird by a margin of eight wickets. Both the matches were truncated to 15 overs due to bad weather.
Opting to bat first, South Point gathered 98 losing five wickets and in reply, Gurukul Grammar managed to score 82 in the stipulated 15 overs for five wickets.
In the second encounter, Blue Bird were restricted to 65 for nine in 15 overs and chasing the target DPS boys smacked up 66 for two in 11.2 overs.
