DERGAON, June 27 - The condition of the NH-37 from Numaligarh to Kakodonga river bridge in Golaghat district is deteriorating day by day. The condition of the NH is so bad that big ponds like ditches are seen on the road. People say that the ditches are not on the road but the road is in the ditch.
As the construction of the four lane express highway is also going on from Numaligarh to Dadhara in Dergaon, the repairing of the road has been neglected by the construction company and as the road has been handed over to the four-lane construction company, so the PWD is indifferent towards repairing the road. As a result of the indifference of both the parties, the civilians are facing serious problems. The public here has demanded immediate repairing of the road.
