DHEMAJI, April 5 - In a case of patricide, two sons killed their 52-year-old father named Moni Kanta Kardong of Ujani Bijoypur village under Jonai Police Station in Dhemaji district on Friday night following a domestic clash over some financial matter.
Police said that Abhinash Kardong (22) and his younger brother Chandrasekhar Kardong (19) lynched their father in their residence and subsequently dumped the body beside National Highway-15 in an attempt to make it look like an accidental death.
In the meantime, Jonai Police registered a case under sections 302/34 of IPC and arrested both the brothers and remanded them to judicial custody. The police also arrested the deceased�s wife Hema Prabha Kardong for abating the murder.
The accused duo during interrogation admitted to killing their father after a clash over some money matter.
It may be mentioned that the deceased was serving as an LP school teacher at Taribasti under Jonai Education Block.
