GUWAHATI, Jan 2 - Sarbananda Sonowal, Union Minister of Youth Affairs and Sports attended an Executive Committee meeting of the 12th South Asian (SAF) Games at the Guwahati Circuit House today and took stock of the preparations for the Games, which is the first international multi-sport mega event in the North East India.
The South Asian Games is going to be held in Guwahati and Shillong from February 5 to 16. Almost all the top level officials of the Games, including Jarnail Singh, secretary general, OC-SAG, Injeti Srinivas (CEO � Guwahati), and RK Sharma (CEO � Shillong) were also present along with many other high officials of the Games. In the meeting, many issues relating to the preparations of the Games were discussed in detail. Injeti Srinivas and RK Sharma personally briefed the Minister about the overall preparations and progress in their respective cities, stated a release.
