By The Assam Tribune

GUWAHATI, Jan 17 - Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal took part in a music digitisation campaign launch event of the Jyoti Chitraban Digital Archive today at the Jyoti Chitraban Film Studio. At the event, the Chief Minister digitised the evergreen song of Jyotiprasad Agarwala Gose Gose from a vinyl player to symbolise launch of the music digitisation campaign.

The campaign is targeted to make a huge impact on the youths of the region in encouraging them to learn about the States culture and folklore. The entire music digitisation campaign launch event was spearheaded by the head of Jyoti Chitraban Digital Archive and Assamese experimental music artiste Axl Hazarika, who has also become the first Indian to rank in the SoundCloud Global Top 10 trance music chart.

Axls trance track titled Trippy Experience has been the only Indian entry in the SoundCloud Global trance music charts Top 50 for the last two years.

Celebstan, a startup founded under IIM Ahmedabad by Axl Hazarika and Amrita Sonowal, is helping Jyoti Chitraban Film Studio in the development of its digital archive with their technical and marketing expertise to expand and make it the largest digital archive of North-east India in a bid to preserve and archive all kinds of important contents like films, music, special events, photographs, texts, etc.

The first content of the Jyoti Chitraban Digital Archive is the oath-taking ceremony of Chief Minister Sonowal. Noted filmmakers and producers also submitted their productions, including films and music, at the launch event.

As our honourable Chief Minister Shri Sarbananda Sonowal always encourages the promotion and preservation of our culture, we are on a mission to fulfil the same. And I heartily invite all artistes, producers, and even the public to submit important archival materials, which will be preserved for posterity in the Jyoti Chitraban Digital Archive under the able supervision of IIM Ahmedabad entrepreneurs, said Pabitra Margherita, Chairman of Jyoti Chitraban on the occasion.
