KOKRAJHAR, April 5 � Union Minister Sarbananda Sonowal on Saturday assured a huge gathering at an election meeting at Chandrapara playground here that his party would work for the peace, harmony, security and equal development for mutual co-existence of all the communities living in the BTC region.
The BJP would give special attention in building special infrastructure for the development of sports in all the four district of BTAD and provide facilities for locating budding talents of this region. He mentioned that a Government job to every family is the aim of the BJP and will be implemented in the BTC area if the BJP came to power. He also assured an open government and accountable administration with more transparency in governance with the objective of rooting out corruption from the BTAD. Sonowal also announced that the existing SAI complex at Kathalguri in Kokrajhar will be transformed into a sophisticated centre for games and sports soon.
He further cautioned the people to remain alert on the inflow of illegal migrants in BTC area. He also criticised Assam Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi for making false promises in every election.
In the meeting, he also released the BJP�s 20-point vision document for the Bodoland Territorial Council Legislative Assembly Election, 2015. Addressing the gathering, BJP candidate Manoj Kumar Brahma said that he is very much influenced by Modi�s vision and remarked that the BJP was the creator of the BTC through amending the Sixth Schedule in the Constitution of India and he realised that only the BJP could work for the progress and development of this region. He also appealed to vote for the BJP for the overall development of this region.
