UDALGURI, Dec 4 - Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal today appealed to the people to cast their votes for BJP in order to bring in development in the BTR areas.
Addressing an election meeting at Monpur Mini Stadium under 38 Bhairabkunda constituency in Udalguri district, he said that BJP is the only party which has accorded priority to the development, and during the last five years, the people have seen a massive growth in the State. The meeting was joined by BJP candidates- Birdau Basumatary and Radheswari Boro of Bhairabkunda and Rowta constituencies respectively.
In this context, the Chief Minister, informed that a new university would be set up in Udalguri district, besides a slew of schemes are in the pipeline for the development of the Boro people. The meeting anchored by Ajay Hazarika, secretary of Udalguri district committee of BJP, and was attended by Ranjit Dass, president of State BJP and Dilip Saikia, MP of Mangaldai HPC.
